This is the 4th. release of Plattegrond, a d.i.y label from Amsterdam. Two producers / friends who are known for their raw sound in techno and electronic live music. They released some of their ambient soundscape works with dusty sophisticated home recordings. It opens with Bahk's "Funny Setting", a long stretched piece of repetition with dreamy sounds that could easily become a soundtrack. After this, it's Hakki's 'Fluit Buffer", also very quiet and calm, almost hypnotizing like the 'Soothing sounds for babies; Vol.1, by Raymond Scott. The whole cd itself floats somewhere inbetween lullabies & spacelounge since it captures the imagination of a lazy sunday at home. It definately has a movie like feel, since some of the tracks are over ten minutes long. A collector's item for anyone who's into minimalism scape electronica like Machinefabriek.
